French star Adrien Rabiot, who plays for Milan, told the Italian press about the transfer process to the red-black team and his experiences during this process.
Rabiot stated that Milan had wanted him for a long time and said, “Milan was interested in me last season as well. I was a free agent then and we had negotiations. If I had come at that time, I do not know if we would have finished the league higher than the eighth place, but considering what we have done so far, I can say that I came here at the right time.” he said.
“I KNEW WHAT I WANTED”
Describing the process that took place during the summer transfer period, Rabiot stated that it was not easy to leave Marseille:
“Milan were also interested in me in July, but it was difficult to leave Marseille at that time. After that incident (the fight with Marseille’s Jonathan Rowe) some Italian clubs also contacted me, but I knew what I wanted.”
“ALLEGRI EVEN KNOWS THE FUTURE!”
Rabiot also shared the remarkable dialogue he had with coach Massimiliano Allegri during the transfer period:
“When the transfer window started, Allegri asked me, ‘Let’s see what happens?’ he said and something actually happened. I don’t know how he does it, he even predicts the future! (laughing)”
The 30-year-old French football player, who was transferred from Marseille to Milan this season, has played in 6 matches so far in the red-black jersey and contributed 1 assist.
