Last season he scored ten goals in the FC Den Bosch shirt and delivered twelve assists, Byron Burgering. But after one year the attacker leaves the Vliert again. Burgering has signed a contract for three seasons with Almere City FC, which, like FC Den Bosch, will be released in the Kitchen Champion Division next season. “The goal is clear: promotion, I want to return to the Eredivisie with Almere City FC.”
Burgering (24) started his professional career at FC Eindhoven. After an adventure at Miedz Legnica, Poland, and a strong period at amateur club GVVV (104 games, 48 goals), he made the switch to FC Den Bosch last summer. Burgering came into action in all 38 league games and was also in the play-offs. FC Den Bosch stranded in the semi -finals and therefore remains champion division in the kitchen.
Almere City FC relegated directly from the Eredivisie. Then why that transfer? “My first conversation with the club immediately liked it very well,” Burgering explains his choice on the site of his new employer. “I am an emotional person and the appreciation that was pronounced was important to me. The goal is clear.”
On the FC Den Bosch site, Burgering looks back on the past year with a good feeling. “From day one I felt incredibly welcome here. Thanks to the fanatic support of the supporters, we have experienced a great season as a team.”
Burgering was still fixed until mid -2026, with an option for another year. FC Den Bosch therefore receives a transfer fee from Almere City FC. How much the club receives is not known. Jesper Gudde, recently Technical Manager at the Bossche Club: “Byron wanted another step higher. His sale is good for the club’s reputation, even though a good player leaves.”
