Adler relies on outdoor and cooperates with McTrek

Adler cooperates with McTrek and includes outdoor products in its range.

The products from the outdoor area will expand the range of more than 130 Adler stores in Germany, Austria, Luxembourg and Switzerland, Adler Modemärkte AG announced on Monday. In addition to clothing and shoes, equipment is also offered.

“Standstill is paralyzing. We are now counteracting this with our new outdoor offer from McTrek. We are renewing our Adler range with completely new product areas,” said Adler Board Member Karsten Odemann. “With Outdoor, we are growing in all our branches with an attractive range in the future market of active leisure activities. The complementary products fit perfectly with our existing range and will certainly be well received by our increasingly active customer group.”

McTrek emerges from bankruptcy

The outdoor retailer McTrek based near Hanau operates 29 stores in Germany and an online shop. The locations have been operated by McTrek Retail GmbH since summer 2020, after the previous parent company Yeah! AG has filed for bankruptcy. The new company has secured more than 250 jobs.

“With the cooperation now beginning with Adler, we are increasing our presence in Germany and reaching new customers for McTrek,” said McTrek Managing Director Christian Müller. “We see a strong overlap of the target groups and are sure that our offer with competent brands, interesting prices and sophisticated outdoor products will meet with a lot of interest and demand from Adler customers.”
