Adele delivers show to London club

Visitors to the legendary London club GAY were treated to a very special show on Thursday evening. Actually, only a strip contest took place that evening. Visitors were then allowed to watch Adele, who seemed amused and later even danced at the pole dance pole.

Adele surprisingly showed up at the club with a group of friends. She had entered via the back entrance, where she moved into a VIP box. The Daily Mail claims that when fans recognized her, Adele reportedly started crying and asked how she was recognized.

Later, the pop singer is said to have stormed onto the stage and danced on the pole herself. There Adele then admitted that her shirt had torn and that she had poured herself. Wearing the same outfit, Adele appeared on The Graham Norton Show earlier on Thursday night, where she discussed her outstanding achievement at the Brit Awards (“Artist of the Year”).

In a short video recording, the British Daily Mail is available, Adele is said to have also demanded that she be allowed to have the final decision in the strip contest. Presenter and drag queen Cheryl Hole, who gained notoriety from the UK spin-off of RuPaul’s Drag Race, responded that Adele could of course make the decision.

Adele then voted the only woman among the contestants to be the winner. Addressing the other participants, she said: “You were all great, but we love being women, don’t we?”. Adele probably also addressed the controversy surrounding her statements at the Brit Awards.

Controversy surrounding Adele’s performance at the Brit Awards

There, in her acceptance speech as “Artist of the Year”, the singer expressed her displeasure with the “new ‘woke’ and genderless award ceremony”. “I understand why the categories have changed, but I love being a female artist,” Adele added.

For the first time this year, the Brit Awards did not award gendered awards. The organizers of the award had stated that they wanted to be as inclusive as possible and also welcomed all gender identities at the award ceremony. There were divided opinions about the step among fans and partly also in the organization team. Some called this “‘wokes’ chatter” and even called for a boycott of the event.

Adele, meanwhile, was able to win the award for the best single and album of the year with her single “Easy on Me” and her latest album “30”.
