Actor Jack Smethurst has died at the age of 89, reports BBC. Smethurst’s death was confirmed on his son’s social media.
According to the family, the actor died peacefully at home.
– Today we said goodbye to our dear father. He was loved a lot and he brought joy to many, the actor’s son writes on Twitter.

The actor’s first film debut took place in a 1958 release Carry On Sergeant in the movie. He is best remembered for his British TV series Love by The Neighborin which he played Eddie Booth, a fierce factory worker.
