Actor Gaspard Ulliel died after a skiing accident

According to the AFP news agency, Gaspar Ulliel died after a serious skiing accident. The actor, who was also known as a model for Chanel, was only 37 years old.

Ulliel was said to be skiing in the Savoie region of France when he collided with another skier at a piste junction. He suffered a severe traumatic brain injury. Rescue workers then took him to the hospital in Grenoble by helicopter. Despite efforts to save his life, the actor passed away on Wednesday (January 19).

In France, Gaspard Ulliel has long been a sought-after actor and he has also made a name for himself internationally in recent years with ever larger roles. Among other things, he played the young Hannibal Lecter in “Hannibal Rising” in 2007. He was also about to make a commercial breakthrough with the Marvel series Moon Knight. In it, he most recently took on the role of Midnight Man.

Ulliel leaves behind his six-year-old son Orso, whom he had with girlfriend Gäelle Pietri.
