Alexander Zverev disclosed his emotional world after the surprising end in the first round of Wimbledon. Brother Mischa is now explaining the further plan with the world ranking in third.

An unexpected announcement after a sensational press conference: According to Bruder Mischa, Alexander Zverev will start tennis training just a few days after the big Wimbledon disappointment in the coming week. “The team will come back together on Monday, then it will start again,” announced Mischa Zverev as a TV expert at Prime Video. Before that, however, his younger brother will switch off as best as possible. It would be “a few days off, a little golf playing, go a little into the sea”.

Alexander Zverev had in five sets against the world ranking 70 on Tuesday after the surprising round. Arthur Rinderknech said that I now have “free” and have to find himself. In a remarkable clarity, the 28-year-old then revealed mental problems, a feeling of loneliness in his life and lack of motivation on and off the square.

The Mischa, almost ten years older, rated this in response to a match. “We always wait a day or two, of course, you never know. After an emotional defeat, you feel things, then you say things, and then you just have to look, how do you feel a day or two later,” said the former professional, who also acts as a manager. “We are always there as a family, nothing will change.” It was wrong to draw a conclusion immediately and make a plan.

Even more: it is nice if everyone was worried about his brother, Mischa said – but: “I don’t think he wants you to say three or four or five weeks: and how are you now?”. You have to “continue to live and analyze and look at how can we help. And if help is needed, we are there”.

The Olympic champion is currently still on the registration list for the clay court tournament in Gstaad, which takes place immediately after Wimbledon in mid -July.
