“Means everything to me”
Premier League club FC Fulham has extended the contracts of two long-standing professionals. On Tuesday, the Londoners announced that midfielder and captain Tom Cairney (32) would stay until at least 2025. Central defender Tim Ream (36) had previously also signed until the end of next season. The duo have been playing for the “Cottagers” since 2015 and have each made over 300 appearances (305 and 306 respectively).

Cairney, one of the 15 most loyal players in the Premier League, said: “It means everything to me that I can extend my contract. 10 years is a hell of a long time in football, a very rare thing. I said very early on that Fulham felt like home – a lot of players say that and then move on, but I think it’s obvious I meant it because I’ll still be here 10 years later. “
