Accidents and work on Tuesday morning caused a lot of traffic in and around Arnhem. There was a long traffic jam on the A12 between the Velperbroek and Grayoord interchanges for some time due to an accident.
It is also busy on the A12 from Zevenaar to Arnhem and on the Pleijroute towards Velperbroek. The latter has to do with the work on the John Frost Bridge† One lane on the bridge is closed in a northerly direction due to major maintenance. The bus lane is also closed.
Traffic then diverts via the Pleijroute, but that cannot prevent delays from occurring. The problems were bigger this morning than yesterday, on the first day of the partial closure of the Frost Bridge, which will be worked on until the beginning of September.
In the city it was also busy on the Schelmseweg and the Utrechtseweg.
