With a photo directly from the bedside, Marion Grosjean shocks her followers on Instagram – and tries to explain.

Marion Grosjean, wife of the former Formula 1 driver Romain Grosjean (with interruptions from 2009 to 2020 in the “premier class”), suffered serious injuries in a bicycle accident. The journalist posted a photo of the bedside on Instagram – intubated and with clearly visible injuries on the face.

“Pneumothorax, broken ribs, head trauma … the whole story!” wrote Grosjean. How exactly she suffered the injuries remains unclear – because the accident itself can no longer remember the course of the accident. “Bicycle accident, but I can’t tell you more … I have no memory of it,” said Grosjean.

Even more: “I have to admit that this story is crazy,” she wrote openly. “I still don’t understand what happened to me or why I feel so bad.” Marion and Romain Grosjean have been together for over 15 years, married in 2012. Together, the couple have three children: Sacha (9 years), Simon (8 years) and Camille (5 years).

Despite the dramatic situation, Marion Grosjean was able to joke again: “In the meantime I have a man who can cope with the 3 children,” she continued in her post. “I hope to come home as soon as possible.”

Gatte Romain drove, among others, for Lotus (2012 to 2015) and Haas (2016 to 2020) in Formula 1-and curiously gained famousness himself through a bad accident: At the Grand Prix of Bahrain 2020, his Haas-Bolide collided with the Alpha Tauri by Daniil Kvyat, crashed into the guided plank with around 220 km / h, went out in two parts.

Grosjean stuck in the burning wreck for 26 seconds and was able to free himself. The Frenchman suffered serious burns on both hands. The “Halo” security system saved his life. It was Grosjean’s last Formula 1 race.
