Due to an accident at a railway crossing near Assen station, train traffic between Beilen and Groningen Europapark is disrupted.
Around 12.30 pm someone was hit while crossing the railway at Pelikaanstraat. It is still unclear what exactly happened. It is also unknown what condition the victim is in.
According to the NS, the malfunction has been resolved and train traffic is restarting. Trains are expected to run again between Beilen and Groningen Europapark from 2 p.m.
