The Hamburg online retailer About You is collaborating with Bella Hadid for the upcoming autumn/winter season. The 64-piece women’s collection called “Bella Hadid x About You” is inspired by the style of the 90s and the Y2K trend. The result is clothing and accessories that reflect the supermodel’s unmistakable sense of fashion. The exclusive collaboration will be available from Monday at 1 p.m. in the About You online shop.
In the collection, masculine undertones meet playful femininity and streetwear. In addition to androgynous suit combinations, skirts, shorts and T-shirts made of mesh, jersey, denim and real leather, the collaboration is rounded off by four designs made of 100 percent recycled denim fabric. In terms of color, the designs range from monochrome designs in black and white to garments in warm earth tones, bright pink and soft blue.
“I put my heart and soul into this collection and can’t wait for others to enjoy the designs as much as I do,” Bella Hadid said in a statement Tuesday. The joint collection with the model is part of the online retailer’s business model, which, in addition to cooperation with influencers, also increasingly relies on capsule collections. Bella Hadid is currently one of the most booked models in the world, on Instagram the 25-year-old is currently followed by more than 55.4 million people. As About You’s newest international collaboration partner, Hadid follows in the footsteps of Kendall Jenner and Leni Klum, among others.
As the company said, Hadid was not only chosen because of her “feel for fashion and an eye for the next big trends” but also because of “her enthusiasm to help shape the design process from start to finish and her desire to be a stylist on her own collection” an inspirational collaborator for About You. Sofia Hagemeier, Team Lead Exclusive Cooperations at About You, describes the collaboration as follows: “We sat together for hours during the design process and Bella even brought pieces from her own closet as inspiration for her first collection. She played a key role in the development process and was a real team player.”
The “Bella Hadid x About You” collection will be released on October 10 at 1 p.m. in sizes XS to XXL and will cost between 24.90 euros and 199.99 euros.
