About You has named Greg Chan as its new Vice President of Tech and Product. The Hamburg online retailer confirmed the personnel, but did not want to give any further information. The specialist magazine Textilwirtschaft had previously reported on this.
Chan comes from US financial services firm Better, where he has served as Vice President of Engineering since May 2021, according to his LinkedIn profile. Before that, he worked for the online giant Amazon in various positions for more than nine years, most recently as Head of Engineering, Shopping Delivery Experience. He also worked for the US technology company Microsoft.
“I am pleased to announce that I have started my new position at About You,” Chan said on the social platform last week. In addition to About You, he also mentions the subsidiary Scayle, under which the fashion retailer runs its software and services for brands and other retailers such as Marc O’Polo, Depot, The Founded and Tom Tailor.
Scayle’s turnover grew to 67 million euros in the last financial year, which corresponds to a growth of 90 percent compared to the previous year.
