Abba: concert and show in London with avatar

G.them Abba are about to return to the concert. But today, May 27, at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, it will not be an “ordinary” live.

The Swedish quartet will star in a completely digital performance: their avatars will engage the audience in the arena.

Thanks to the work of Industrial Light & Magic of George LucasAnni-Frid Lyngstad, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Agnetha Fältskog will be present on stage in the form of avatars.

The concert Abba Voyage it will last 90 minutes and the tickets were literally snapped up (despite the prices not really accessible to everyone and despite the decidedly new form of the live).

Through the ABBAtar (name of the digital holograms given to the pop band of records), the four artists miraculously return very young. They go back to the late seventies, when their fame was for the first time something incredible and boundless.

The performance that will see the audience of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London (renamed for the occasion ABBA Arena) will not be a simple projection of a prepackaged product.

For this show ABBA have been practicing singing and playing all the songs for over a monthin front of 160 cameras who have been able to capture all their movements, which will be the engine of those of their avatars.

At the premiere of the show, not only the ABBA themselves (the real ones, all over seventy), but also names like Elton John and Kylie Minogue.

They won’t release any more albums

The artists (who, in their avatar version on tour will wear designer clothes from Dolce & Gabbana) released last November the disc Voyagearrived at over 40 years since the last The Visitors.

In an interview with The Sun, Ulvaeus explained that this was the last record of the quartet. “When you do something like that, you don’t know how it will be received by people,” she began.

“We released that album with great pride. I don’t think there will be any more ABBA music. I think it was definitely our last album ».
