A$AP Rocky has officially announced on Instagram that his creative agency AWGE and Mercedes Benz are collaborating on a fashion collection.
The rapper posted a gif with his agency’s chrome logo on it. The announcement was made once on the “AWGE” Instagram account, as well as on his personal profile. The following image of the post shows a man next to a car. He wears an orange bomber jacket with the Mercedes logo printed on the back. The inscription “AWGE” can be seen on the trouser legs and the hood of his hoodie. The caption reads: “AWGE X @mercedesbenz soon”.
It’s not the first time A$AP Rocky and the automaker have worked together. Back in 2019, Mercedes Benz and the rapper worked together on a trucker hat. Additionally, in 2017, A$AP Rocky starred in the “Get a Job” commercial from the company’s “Grow Up” campaign. However, the project was not continued for the time being, as A$AP Rocky was accused of assault by a Swedish court.
His affinity for luxury fashion is no longer a secret. In February, A$AP Rocky and PacSun launched a collaborative collection by Eddie Bauer and A$AP Worldwide. As of July 2021, the rapper has also been named the lifestyle brand’s first artistic director.
A$AP Rocky was also reportedly spotted with girlfriend Rihanna at the Off White Show in Paris wearing the Mercedes logo on a leather jacket and pants.
