Someone was injured in a rear-end collision on the A67 from Venlo towards Eindhoven, near Helenaveen, on Saturday night. Three cars are said to have been involved in the collision. The A67 is closed between the Panningen exit and the Liessel exit.
The cars involved came to a stop over a distance of several tens of meters on the hard shoulder.
Due to the seriousness of the situation, police cars, ambulances and the fire brigade came to the A67. An air ambulance that was initially called ultimately did not have to arrive.

The victim was taken to a hospital in an ambulance. The occupants of the other cars were not injured.
The police are investigating how the accident could have happened.
