The A37 at Hoogeveen was again blocked by demonstrators in the direction of Emmen this evening. In contrast to previous blockades, hardly any tractors were involved in the protest.
The road was close to the viaduct at the Meester Cramerweg. The road under the viaduct was also blocked by protesters. The photos show, among other things, that groups of children were present. After about two hours, around midnight, everyone left again, a bystander said.
In Hoogeveen, numerous flags are hung upside down on lampposts. With this, farmers want to express their dissatisfaction with the government’s nitrogen plans.
