Traffic that wanted to ride on the A28 that this morning during rush hour at Hoogeveen towards Zwolle was confronted with delays. Due to an accident, both lanes were closed between the Hoogeveen-Fluitenberg exit and the Zuidwolde exit.
Around 7.30 am two cars collided on the A28. The cause of the accident is unknown. It is also not clear whether those involved were injured.
The traffic of Assen towards Zwolle was led at Hoogeveen via the emergency lane. As a result, there was a few kilometers of traffic jams at the busiest moment and the delay rose to about twenty minutes. The traffic on the A37 also ended up in a traffic jam at the Hoogeveen junction. The road was released again at 9 a.m.
