Under artist name Childish Gambino the well-known American musician Donald Glover, 42, says that he had a stroke last year on stage, The Guardian news.
Glover told about it on Saturday while performing in Los Angeles.
Glover was on a world tour last year. At the show in Louisiana, Glover suffered from a bad headache.
– I performed in spite of that. I couldn’t see properly, so in Houston I went to the hospital. The doctor said I had had a stroke, Glover said on Saturday.
The health challenges did not stop there. Doctors discovered a hole in Glover’s heart. The musician was cut twice because of this. In addition, Glover says that he broke one of his legs.
– They say that everyone has two lives, one of which begins when you realize you have one, Glover told his audience at Saturday’s concert.

After his stroke, Glover canceled the remaining concerts of his 2024 world tour. At that time he told Deadline stating that he had been to the hospital and that he would not be able to continue the tour due to his health problems. Glover also said he is awaiting surgery, but did not elaborate on his health challenges.
Donald Glover made a career as a hip hop musician under the stage name Childish Gambino since 2008. He announced last year that he would give up using the name.
Glover is also known as an actor, screenwriter and director. In 2016, Glover was awarded the Golden Globe for Best Actor for his role in the comedy series Atlanta.
