Hinteregger, who played as a central defender, has been the subject of harsh accusations. Toppari has organized a football tournament in his home country together, which became known as the Nazis Heinrich Sicklin with. Sickl is a member of the right-wing populist FBÖ and, in the 1990s, of the neo-Nazi group Nationalische Front.

– I want to apologize for what I said. I really regret it, Hinteregger continued.
Hinteregger will end his career in the middle of the contract period. He has represented the German Eintracht Frankfurt, with whom the defender has a contract until the summer of 2024.
