Elsi Sloan surprised Yle in the Moomin reading marathon on Saturday.

Actor and activist Elsie Sloan was one Ylen Moomin reading marathon of the readers as a partner of the teacher Milka Hirvaskero on Saturday. Mightily according to the couple Sloan and Hirvaskero were Magician’s hat -duet from the story Tiuhti ja Viuhti.
At the end of their reading, Sloan and Hirvaskero turned to each other and kissed each other. After an intimate moment, the two put their heads together for a moment and then turned to face each other again and sweetly nuzzled their faces at each other.
Sloan has posted a video of the moment on her Instagram update, where she says she was moved on her Moomin reading marathon day. He talks about the meaning of the Moomin books from the point of view of HLBTIG+ people.
– It’s wonderful that we have a national treasure whose books appeal to people of all ages. It’s amazingly wonderful that those stories don’t need to be queered separately, because they are very queer in themselves. And then get to be seen with our own ruby! Sloan writes.
– It’s not like little Elsi didn’t know what to expect when there were so many of us queer readers in the beloved queer author’s world. Thank you, gentlemen, for taking care of me so tenderly, you did this with all your heart! And so luckily we have Tiuhti and Viuhti’s lesbians and the wise Tuu-tikki as lesbian icons, how empty we would be without them!

Sloan has told Assistance– magazine in March 2024 that he lives a polyamorous life, which includes adults and four children. She described herself to the magazine as a “polyamorous lesbian and transgender”.
– I have never had heterosexual relationships, they sound dangerous. For example, heterosex sounds really weird. Why is there a lack of communication? And then you have to show that that man is really skilled. That sounds really boring! I’m really happy that I’m a lesbian. It’s my favorite thing in life, he commented to the magazine.
Sloan became famous a few years ago after acting in movies Strange summer and Heart beast. He was nominated for best new actor at the 2023 Jussi gala Heart beastfrom the movie.
