A significant twist in the rape charge against rap artist Sean “Diddy” Combs

Rapper producer By Sean “Diddy” Combs54, ex-girlfriend, singer Cassandra Ventura, 37, sued the rapper, accusing him of rape. However, the case has now taken a new turn, when the two are said to have come to an agreement on the matter.

The former couple settled just two days after the charges were filed. CNN-magazine’s statements reveal the views of both parties on the agreement.

– We have decided to resolve the matter amicably. I wish Cassie and her family nothing but the best, says Combs.

– I have decided to settle this matter amicably under such conditions that I have some influence. I want to thank my family, my fans and my lawyers for their unwavering support, says Ventura.

In his lawsuit, Ventura alleged that Combs repeatedly took advantage of him over the years. The actions have started in 2005-2006, when Combs attached Ventura to the charts of his Bad Boy Records production company.

According to Ventura, Combs raped her, used physical violence and controlled her life. In addition, according to Ventura, the producer lured him into excessive alcohol and substance abuse. Combs has denied the allegations against him.

Sean Combs has performed under several different stage names. In the 1990s, he was known as Puff Daddy, then P. Diddy, then Puffy, and finally Diddy.
