F1 driver Daniel Ricciardo broke his arm at the end of August in the Dutch Zandvoort exit.

The Australian crashed into the wall in the second free practice session and underwent further tests, which revealed that his arm was broken.

At first, Red Bull’s team manager Christian Horner thought that after Ricciardo’s surgery, he could return to driving at the Singapore GP in mid-September.

Now the return schedule is delayed.

– I don’t think it is possible for him to be ready to return in Singapore. I think Japan would be optimistic too, Horner said according to news.com.au.

The Japanese competition will be held at the end of September. Horner thinks that the earliest Ricciardo will return is the Qatar race, which will be held at the beginning of October.

– I think his rehabilitation is progressing well. He has mobility in his hand, but we’ve seen bikers rush back too soon, causing more damage.

– We have to make sure that he has fully recovered before he gets back in the car. We’re taking it one day at a time,” Horner continued.

Ricciardo, 34, returned to racing midway through this season when AlphaTauri fired him to Nyck de Vries. Riccardo has been located in the previous two races Liam Lawson.
