A runner killed and another seriously injured by lightning in a race in Greece

A runner has passed away and another has been seriously injured after lightning strike during a Mountain’s race night in north Greeceas reported by the emergency services of that country.

The two runners participated in the Six Peaks Racea test of 36 kilometers of distance that chains the six highest peaks of the Mount Falakrowhich all exceed 2,000 meters, when lightning struck a group of runners at 4 a.m. on Sunday.
