The world star of skiing Therese Johaugin man Nils Jakob Hoff and a daughter Kristin were at the ski stadium in Toblach on Sunday.
Kristin, born in May 2023, took a nap in a carrier on her father’s back, while her mother ran a 15-kilometer traditional style co-start race.
Johaug wasn’t supposed to compete in the Tour at all, but he turned his sled. According to the Oslo resident, the feeling of competition was too great after two gap years, so the number of starts must be reduced.
Johaug’s spouse Hoff and the couple’s daughter Kristin were supposed to spend Christmas in their home country, but the skier, who was preparing for the Tour in the mountains of Central Europe, was not allowed to leave his child in Hoff’s care. So the whole food community is on the road in Toblach and starting next Thursday in Val di Fiemme.
– It’s always nice in Italy because the sun is usually shining and it’s warm, Johaug commented to Iltalehti on Saturday.
How does top sport go when the family is present?
– It’s so funny, the Norwegian laughed.
For real?
– Really! No problems at all.
