A quarter of suspended unemployed people are already applying for a living wage in Flanders

A quarter of the unemployed who lost their benefits on December 31 have already applied for a living wage from the OCMW. This is reported by the Association of Flemish Cities and Municipalities (VVSG). At the end of 2025, 3,800 Flemish people who have been unemployed for twenty years or more lost their unemployment benefits.
