Although first goalkeeper Walter Benitez has secured many points for PSV this season, trainer Ruud van Nistelrooij sticks to his promise that Joël Drommel will be in goal during cup matches. Drommel already had to replace Benitez once this season. “He did an excellent job at that time. He has shown in those matches that he is a reliable goalkeeper. We are also in the final thanks to him. I have no doubts about Sunday.”
“There is no doubt with Joël either”
Captain Luuk de Jong also trusts his goalkeeper. “When I talk to him, Joël has no doubts whatsoever. He’s good at it. He also did an excellent job during the period in which he had to replace Walter.”
