The business of the Golden Unicorn restaurants operating in Pirkanmaa has been sold, news reports Morning paper.
Iltalehti reported earlier about the bankruptcy of Valley Cong Oy, which operates behind the restaurants. Now, however, the situation has changed.
The restaurant business has been bought by Auric Group Oy. The matter is confirmed by the company’s CEO Jun Wang by email to Aamulehti.
Auric Group Oy was registered in the trade register on October 30. It declares its main industry as a holding company.
Holding company means a company whose main purpose is to own and manage the shares and shares of one or more other companies. The company is therefore established to own, manage and supervise, not so much to conduct business.
Auric Group Oy CEO Wang tells Aamulehti that the company is backed by five former minority shareholders of Valley Cong Oy. The deed of sale of the business was signed on December 12.
According to Aamulehti, the operation of restaurants as well as the preparation of ready meals will continue as normal. All 45 employees of Valley Cong Oy will transfer to the new company.
Ready meals are manufactured at the Nokia factory. The restaurants are located next to Hämeenkatu, Kaleva, Lielahti, Linnainmaa and Valkeakoski Prismos.
Valley Cong Oy was declared bankrupt on December 8. The decision was given by the District Court of Pirkanmaa. The tax administration filed for bankruptcy in November, because the taxman has not received more than 190,000 euros from the company.
