Norwegian businessman Petter Stordalen celebrated his birthday last Tuesday in Oslo. Hulppet’s party was organized at Hotel Christiana Teater, which is a hotel of Stordalen’s own Nordic Choise Hotels chain.
Stordalen celebrated its 60th anniversary, and there were a lot of Norwegian and also Swedish public figures. There is no information about Finnish licensees.
Among other things, the guests were entertained Bob Geldolf and Zara Larsson.
Swedish entrepreneur, well-known in the TV industry Amanda Schulman was one of the invited guests.
– There was a fun show at the party, we ate and drank. There was a ban on cell phones, so I couldn’t take any pictures. The theater performance was about Peter. It was really fun at the party, Schulman described to Expressen.
Stordalen has become familiar to Finns through its hotel holdings. His Nordic Choice Hotels company includes about 200 hotels, such as the Clarion Hotel Helsinki in Jätkäsaari and the Kämp Hotel in the heart of Helsinki.
– Kämp is part of Finnish history and the legendary Mannerheimik also lived there. I am very proud to own Kämp, Stordalen told Iltalehti last month.
In total, Stordalen has 12 hotels in the capital region.
In October 2019, Petter saved the Nordic operations of the bankrupt travel agency Thomas Cook, including Tjäreborg.
Stordalen has also been exposed due to his relationships. Stordalen and his ex-wife, an environmental activist Gunhild Stordal broke up at the end of 2019 after 14 years together. Gunhild had previously said that she was terminally ill.
Today, Stordalen is together with a Swede who is 27 years younger than her Märta Elander’s Wistén with.
