Brad Treliving is the new GM of the Toronto Maple Leafs. The club announced the matter on Wednesday.

The position of GM of the Maple Leafs is traditionally the NHL’s most followed club manager’s position.

The Maple Leafs were a hot champion favorite, but the spring journey ended early, in the second round of the Panthers, who were on pace for the finals. Relegation decided By Kyle Dubas to a five-season GM stint.

Treliving’s nine-year GM spell with the Calgary Flames ended this season.

Treliving is remembered for last summer’s giant store, where Matt Tkachuk changed To Jonathan Huberdeau and to MacKenzie Weegar. Tkachuk has led the Florida Panthers to the Stanley Cup Finals. The Flames were eliminated from the playoffs.
