Beijing (dpa) – Before the start of the Paralympic Winter Games in Beijing, a corona infection was again found when the participants arrived.
The case was spotted among 118 arrivals at Beijing Airport the day before, organizers reported. In contrast, there were no new cases within the closed Olympic bubble in Beijing.
The Paralympic Games will open in the Chinese capital on Friday. As with the previous Winter Olympics, strict precautions are in place. All those involved are only allowed to move within “closed circuits” and are completely cut off from the rest of the country. Everyone needs to be tested daily. Anyone who has contracted the virus will be isolated in a specially designated hotel.
