A National Football Team continued its preparations for the away matches against Latvia on Friday, June 16 in the UEFA 2024 European Championship (EURO 2024) Qualifiers.
The first 20 minutes of the training, which was held at Hasan Doğan National Teams Camp and Training Facilities in Riva, under the management of coach Stefan Kuntz, was open to the press.
In the crescent-star team, Çağlar Söyüncü, who has a right back injury, and Hakan Çalhanoğlu, who is on leave, did not take part in the training.
The goalkeeper Muhammed Şengezer, who was invited to the National Team for the first time, worked with the team throughout the training.
Fenerbahce footballers İrfan Can Kahveci, Ferdi Kadıoğlu and Arda Güler, who were in the candidate squad and played in the Ziraat Turkish Cup final yesterday, carried out a renewal work separately from the team.
CONGRATULATIONS FROM KUNTZ TO THE PLAYERS FROM FENERBAHÇE
Coach Stefan Kuntz made a short speech with the players on the field before the training. Kuntz started his speech by congratulating Fenerbahçe players who won the cup by beating Medipol Başakşehir 2-0 in the Ziraat Turkish Cup final.
Esports National Team players who will participate in the world championship in Saudi Arabia also visited the training. Esports National Team players, who came to the field before the training, were greeted with applause by the crescent-star players and the technical committee.
In the open-air part of the training, the players warmed up and practiced passing in the narrow area. In the closed part of the exercise, it was stated that the tactical study of the Latvian match was carried out.
NATIONAL TEAM, GOALTENDER COACH FROM STUTTGART
After the goalkeeping coach Michael Rechner, who previously served in the crescent-star team, started to work in Bayern Munich, Stefen Krebs, the goalkeeping coach of Stuttgart, one of the Bundesliga teams, joined the A National Team technical committee for the June camp.
It was reported that Krebs, who took part in the training for the first time with the National Team, will work with the goalkeeper trainer Emrah Karakovan in the National Team.
Turkish Football Federation (TFF) Board Member and National Team Manager Hamit Altıntop also watched the training.
The crescent-star team will continue their preparations with a double training session tomorrow.
