American actress Lucy Liu, 57, says Peoplemagazine that he received an incorrect cancer diagnosis in the 1990s.
Liu had noticed a lump in his chest and went to the doctor. According to Liu, the doctor had felt the lump and said that it was cancer. According to Liu, her breast was not photographed and no further examinations were done.
Liu underwent surgery to remove Patti from her breast. It later turned out that it was not a cancerous tumor.
Liu says now that he did not know how to question the cancer diagnosis given by the doctor.
– Even though my friend had suggested asking for a second opinion, I wondered what the point would be. The doctor knows what he’s talking about, Liu tells People.
Now Liu works in liaison with the pharmaceutical company Pfizer and spreads awareness about the importance of cancer screenings.
