The man predicts that artificial intelligence will cause human extinction in the next three decades with a probability of up to 20 percent. Hinton has also been awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics this year. The prize was awarded to Hinton and John Hopfield for “fundamental discoveries and inventions enabling machine learning with artificial neural networks.”
