Finland lost to Switzerland on Tuesday and finished second in the group.

Lion defender Henri Jokiharju is disappointed with Finland’s game against Switzerland. On Tuesday, Leijonat lost their last preliminary round match of the World Cup by 4–2.

Before the match played against the competition host, Leijonat had won all their games.

– You don’t want to lose it at any cost, but the tournament continues on Thursday. We’ll be ready then, Jokiharju says immediately after the match.

The NHL pack provided an assist for both of Finland’s goals, which Alexander Barkov finished. Both goals were scored in the second period of the match. Before that, Switzerland had dominated the game and scored the first two goals of the match.

Jokiharju analyzes that there is some room for improvement in the Lions’ game.

– We were a bit on the racks at the beginning, but we came together well and got the job done. The game, however, got bored with our own business. We have to make that game a little easier for ourselves, Jokiharju thinks.

Finland will face the Czech Republic in the quarterfinals on Thursday, which finished third in its group. Switzerland, on the other hand, will face Sweden, who took the last playoff spot in Group B.
