Linda Lampenius’ appearance is now being discussed on Some.

Viewers on social media are now wondering about Linda Lampenius’s violin – and whether she really played it. Elle Laitila

UMK was clearly defeated on Saturday by the violinist Linda Lampenius and singer Pete Parkkonen. Their songs Flamethrower figuratively lit the Nokia Arena on fire.

On social media, TV viewers report that they paid attention to Lampenius’ violin playing. It has already been reported that Lampenius could not play the violin at UMK, and genuine violin playing will not be heard at Eurovision either. The reason for this is the policies of UMK and Eurovision. With the exception of solo songs and some backing vocals, musical performances are played from background tapes.

Lampenius previously commented on the matter to Iltalehti. For him, the situation was “absolutely ridiculous”. He was referring to the accordionist at the time Antti Paalasenwho also couldn’t make music Back hair-song on the UMK broadcast, only the throat song came live.

– I am not alone in this, unfortunately we all have to suffer because of this rule, Lampenius commented to Iltalehte.

He also referred Iltalehte to the 2009 five-year winner to Alexander Rybakwho, according to Lampenius, would have deserved to play the violin for real. The violinist said that he understood that, for example, sound checks between each performance would be technically difficult to implement.

In the messaging service Jodel, the topic has caused a lot of controversy.

– I was shocked when I recently heard that the instruments are not played on stage, but come from tape. It seems silly that Linda pretends to play and all the previous ones who have had instruments? Lord, (Alexander) Rybak, wonders one viewer on the app.

Many agreed with this opinion.

– That’s right, my heart hurts.

– Everything comes from tape every year, commented one.

The miked violin was confusing

Many viewers had paid attention to Lampenius’ miked violin in the TV broadcast, which caused confusion.

– Did Linda Lampenius really play the violin in that? I was wondering if you can’t do it in Eurovision, but at least there was a microphone on that violin, asked one viewer.

– There was a mickey in it. But it wasn’t on or connected to anything.

– It didn’t come live, but it was miked to make it look live, but for example the bow was a little broken at the very beginning. You certainly wouldn’t play with a broken bow from the beginning, said a sharp-eyed TV viewer.

– It wasn’t the bow that was broken, but a few of the bows were broken, another viewer knocks out the argument in a yodel.

– What’s the point of that? So what is Linda’s role in this show?

– No one plays live in Viusu. Not even Lordika called, commented one.

Finns are excited about Linda Lampenius and Pete Parkkonen’s UMK victory and are congratulating the duo on different social media channels. Inter alia on Instagram they are inundated with congratulations and suggestions to file the show for wisecracks.

– A request to the choreographers: let Pete Parkkonen move more in the show, they ask on social media.

– Wonderful Linda and Pete. It was a great show! Much, much luck for the future, says one viewer.
