The tenth stage of the Tour has been paralyzed for nearly a quarter of an hour by the protest of some demonstrators who have carried out a sit-in on the race route to protest the installation of a waste factory near Mont Blanc. The technical jury of the race has been forced to stop first the escapees and then the peloton. According to the organization of the race, the cut has lasted exactly 12 minutes.
The production of French television did not want to offer images of the incidents and the viewers only saw aerial scenes and how some runners decided to rest sitting in the gutter, like the Catalan Mark Solerwhile the incident was being resolved.
