A cop in the Apennines: the cast

Claudio Bisio plays the 60-year-old police commissioner Vasco Benassian expert commissioner, impulsive, not very inclined to rules and full of insecurities. Accustomed to the frenzy of the city, he was transferred to Muntagò, his hometown of the Bolognese Apennines. Here, in addition to solving cases, he has to deal with the ghosts of the past and the death of his sister Lilly who passed away at the age of 18which he never surpassed.

Valentina Lodovini plays Nicole Poli, newly elected mayor of Bolognaoriginally from Muntagò and platonic love of Benassi’s youth. Chiara Cellotto is Amaranta, an ambitious and determined young policewomanwho was transferred to learn the trade from Vasco, the best in the business. «He is a character who for a series of reasons has created an armor around himself and she doesn’t seek connections with people – the actress describes her – she is moody and foul-mouthed.”
