Mr. Ylppö traveled to Pori to meet his friend, but the trip took a nasty turn. Pete Anikari

Mr. Ylpö’s year did not end in the best possible way.

The musician tells Facebook– on his account about his unfortunate trip to Pori. As a result of the trip, Mr. Ylppö says that his car was taken hostage by Pori Sokos.

Mr. Ylppö, by real name Frans Mäntymäkitraveled to Pori for his friend, stand-up comedian Ismo Leikola’s gig.

– The gig was great. After the gig, I walked to the parking lot of Sokos, where I had left my car. It was a parking garage-type platform. But the place was closed. Not a single door opened. I walked around the whole block. NOTHING could get in. The car would stay there. I wouldn’t go home today. It was quite cold, Herra Ylppö says in his publication.

The musician had to stay in Pori for the night, but the place for the night ran out.

– Fortunately, my other dear friend Jussi Lehtisalo was at home and offered a place to stay. I’ve never been in a situation where I can’t get into the parking garage before. Unlucky system. So I didn’t get my car until the next morning.

However, the unfortunate situations did not end there. Mr. Ylppö was allowed to start the new year with a reminder from the parking supervisor.

– A parking fine had appeared on the windshield of the car. Thanks. Pori teaches. Goodbye 2025. I won’t miss you, Mr. Ylppö concludes his writing.

In the comments section of the publication, people joke about Pori’s reputation and “service orientation”. Some of the commenters can relate to Herra Ylpö’s experiences with Pori and parking fines.

– The same thing happened to me in the same place, says one commenter.

Apartment for sale

Mr. Ylppö announced in November that he had put his Nokian apartment up for sale. It was a triangle of penthouses in the center of Nokia. You can check out the pictures here.

The asking price of the apartment is 269,900 euros.

Mr. Ylppö said he is giving up his home because he wants a home studio for himself.

– Nokia’s funnest penthouse available. Big and honest recommendation! Really stylish and carefree in every way. Even a minimal electricity bill. Room height of four meters. Buses to Tampere leave next door. All services nearby, Herra Ylppö wrote on Facebook in November.

– I wouldn’t have moved out if I hadn’t wanted to build a home studio in a detached house, he continued.
