Elisa and DNA will launch the Mobile Certificate app during the first half of 2025. The app can also identify your digital services using your phone’s fingerprint or face recognition.
Before the application is launched, there will be a change of appearance to a mobile certificate authentication view. Its step -by -step commissioning has begun on January 14, and many services already have a new prospect of authentication.
The new view does not affect the use of a mobile certificate, and the change does not require any action from the users of the certificate.

The mobile certificate is a digital authentication tool connected to the SIM card on the phone, which has grown rapidly over the last couple of years. It allows you to identify more than 20,000 domestic digital services and are available to Elisa, DNA and Telia customers.
The service is free for Telia’s customers, while DNA and Elisa charge a couple of euros a month.
-The explosive popularity of the mobile certificate is the 2024 security phenomenon and the biggest change in Finnish security attitudes for decades. Authorities and banks recommend using a mobile certificate instead of online banking IDs. The mobile certificate keeps the bank IDs in better secure, as it will not reveal its bank IDs when strengthening its identity if it happens to be on the scam site.
The mobile certificate allows you to authenticate to the services using a phone number and the key to your choice.
