A 60-year-old woman has died this Saturday morning in a house fire in the Roquetes neighborhood, in the Nou Barris district of Barcelona. The notice of the fire was received shortly before midnight at number 5 of Calle de Vidal y Guasch, next to Via Favència and exit 2 of Ronda de Dalt.
Eight crews from the Barcelona Fire Brigade traveled to the scene of the incident. In addition to the dead woman, a 70-year-old man was taken in serious condition due to smoke inhalation to Moisès Broggi Hospital and seven other people were treated for minor smoke inhalation.

The City Council has activated the Barcelona Emergency and Social Emergency Center (CUESB) to care for the victim’s relatives and the rest of the residents of the property.
The Mossos d’Esquadra opened an investigation to determine the causes of the fire.
