The 1. FC Heidenheim builds on the services of central defender Thomas Keller beyond the summer. As the relegation threatened Bundesliga club announced, the contract of the 25-year-old, which was originally expired at the end of the season, was extended until 2028. Keller has been active for the FCH since 2022, but since the end of 2023 it has largely been due to a cruciate ligament tear. Six games and one goal are available in 2024/25.

“After his very long break from injury, ‘Kelle’ showed outstanding mentality last year, fought back bit by bit and was physically back in an absolute top constitution. In his missions since then he has proven that he can help our team with his qualities at any time,” said Holger Sanwald, chairman of the board at any time.

Keller said: “I am very happy to have extended my contract by three years. Especially after my long downtime last year, I am very happy that the club continues to give me the trust. With the promotion, my Bundesliga debut or my first European Cup game, I was able to experience a few nice moments at the FCH. I will do everything we can in the future.”
