The Jokers of Helsinki play in the Mestis Finals. If the team wins the final series, it will advance to the SM League qualifiers.

The club has hoped to play potential qualifying games in the Helsinki Hall, which was previously known as the Hartwall Arena.

However, this spring, there will be no hockey play in the Arena in Ilmala. The matter was announced at the Hall Company’s Annual General Meeting on Friday.

-This spring we will play at the Helsinki Ice Hall in Nordis and two games in the Metro Arena in Espoo, says Saarni.

In Finnish hands

Helsinki-Hall is now fully owned by Finns. The arena moved to Finnish hands in February. Before that, the arena was closed for three years.

70 % of Arena shares are owned by River Estate Oy. The company is owned 100 % by a businessman in Mikkeli and a former main owner of Mikkeli Jukuri Heikki Viitikko.

26 % of Arena owns Trevian Oy and four per cent Omla Oy.

The seller was Arena Events Oy owned by Gennady Timchhenko And the Rotenberg family.

What’s the name?

The arena will recently receive a new name. The matter will be resolved within two weeks, the general meeting was reported.

The hall also opens to non -hockey games during the spring. Air concert is planned to be an opening event.
