In the fight for the small crystal ball, the decision had already been made before the final race. As in the three years before, Marco Odermatt was the best giant goalkeeper this winter. In Sun Valley, however, he did not really cope with the rotating, slow course in the first round and had a gap of one second to his compatriot Meillard at half -time. In the second run, however, he underlined his world class and pushed himself forward on the podium.

Grammel with the best Careerism

Grammel showed a decent performance, similar to the last time in Hafjell. In Norway, two weeks ago, he pushed ahead from 25th to ten with the best time in the second round. This time he was tenth after the first run. In the significantly fluid second round, however, he built in some slides and was always far away from the ideal line. So he initially sorted himself in behind three other competitors.

However, since even after the 26-year-old from Lake Constance, some other athletes had problems with the ever softening slopes, he came to tenth in the final bill. He confirmed his best career ascension from Hafjell.
