The women of FC Bayern Munich have no chance against Olympique Lyon. In the end, a 1-0 lead became a bitter 1: 4. This is the end of the quarter -finals for Bayern.
The FC Bayern women from Olympique Lyon must also be beaten in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals. The 1-0 lead in the first half by Klara Bühl (33.) followed a bitter second round: First Melchie Dumornay (46th) met, shortly afterwards Diani Kadidiatou (54.) and Tabitha Chawinga (60th). In added time, Ada Hegerberg (90.+4) then increased to the bitter 1: 4. The Munich women again did not get beyond the quarter -finals in the premier class.
Strong first half – 1-0 by Klara Bühl
Everything seemed possible in the first half. Poisonous duels, an intensive game pace and a body language willing to win: The FCB women showed everything it would have needed to turn the 0-2 home defeat out of the first leg.
The 1-0 lead by Klara Bühl resulted in exactly this mix in the second leg: Carolin Simon grabbed the ball, with two quick passes the ball landed at Bühl-it only had to pull it off. 1: 0 (33rd minute). With the deserved leadership, the Munich women went to the cabins.
Fast goals in the second half: FCB in shock rigid
At Lyon, a switch seemed to have overturned during the break – they visibly increased the pace from the first second of the second half. The equalizer therefore fell quickly: after only 30 seconds playing time, Melchie Dumornay headed to compensate. The CHAMPION LEAGUE record winners used the shock rigid of Munich: Giulia Gwinn’s ball promised and landed at Kadidiatou Diani, who scored 2-1 from a few meters (54.).
Four goals in the second round
From then on no trace of the FC Bavaria women who were still on the field in the first half of the game. They seemed static, large distances to the French to work out to the goal.
