Arrested grandfather of French toddler Émile previously interrogated for physical and sexual violence in Catholic boarding school

Now that the grandparents of the French toddler Émile disappeared in July 2023 together with two of their adult children have been arrested for deliberate manslaughter and hiding a corpse, attention in the French media is mainly to the grandfather of the boy. The strict -religious Philippe Vedovini (58) came into the picture in 2018 because of charges about sexual and physical violence against students in a Catholic boarding school where he worked in the early 90s.
