Two weeks after the new bankruptcy of Gerry Weber International GmbH, three subsidiaries from the company have now made bankruptcy applications at the Bielefeld District Court.

Gerry Weber De GmbH, E-Gerry Weber Digital GmbH and Life-Style Fashion GmbH are affected, as the company confirmed on Tuesday at the request of Fashionunited. The corresponding applications were submitted on Monday. Attorney Lucas Flöther has been appointed as a provisional actor who has already accompanied the bankruptcy proceedings of Gerry Weber International GmbH.

German retail subsidiary again insolvent

The Gerry Weber de GmbH responsible for the German retail business has applied for preliminary bankruptcy in self -administration. E-Gerry Weber Digital GmbH, operator of the online shop, has applied for a preliminary regular bankruptcy. The online store of the clothing provider remains closed until further notice, while the operational business is continued. For Life-Style Fashion GmbH, Die Wholesale-Kund: supplied inside, bankruptcy in self-administration was also requested.

These bankruptcy applications are not the first for the subsidiaries. As early as April 20, 2023, the German retail subsidiary applied for insolvency proceedings in self-administration. In the course of the then renovation of Gerry Weber International GmbH, the focus was on the wholesale business, which resulted in the branch network in Germany. In addition, 350 full-time jobs at Gerry Weber Retail GmbH and around 75 positions were reduced from Gerry Weber International AG and Life-Style Fashion GmbH.

Nothing changes in the overall situation of the company due to the new bankruptcy applications, a spokesman told fashionunited. He also confirmed that the investor: the group’s interior process started.

In mid -March, Gerry Weber already reported the third bankruptcy within six years. In 2019, after failed negotiations with banks and creditors, the company had to submit an bankruptcy application in the inside through further financing. The procedure was opened in April. In February of the same year, the German retail subsidiary, which is now affected again, followed. After completing the bankruptcy proceedings, however, the company had little time to take a deep breath: Gerry Weber International AG had to renovate again in April 2023 and restructure its German retail business.
