After the opening of its first physical showroom, the second-hand platform Vinted now brings the ‘House of Vinted’ online.
The new digital “House of Vinted” enables the members of the platform to acquire designer pieces – many keys come directly from the personal wardrobes of content creators, as Vinted announced on Tuesday. Susie Lau, Victoria Magrath, Simran Randhawa, Giulia Valentina and Keiona Revlon include selling clothing from brands such as The Row, Prada, Gucci, Maison Margiela and Jacquemus.
“After our ‘House of Vinted’ Showcase in London this weekend, Vinted members across Great Britain can shop the specially curated wardrobes that were presented at the event,” said Emma Sullivan, Creative Director at Vinted. “I am looking forward to the fact that our members can experience the joy that the purchase and sale of luxurious second-hand fashion brings with it.”
Visitors: Inside the London showroom had the opportunity to take a first look at the selection. The wardrobes presented were based on the individual styles of the creator involved and on the current trends on Vinted. Data from the platform show an increasing demand for search terms such as Art Deco, Gingham, Vintage, Scandi, Statement Pieces, Puff sleeves and braid pattern. One of the pieces now available includes a Prada dress from the spring/summer collection 2020 from Susie Laus wardrobe and a few Maison Margiela Tabi shoes, which the blogger, one of the pioneer in the scene, describes as “Social Catnip”. Another highlight is a few Balmain X H&M Heels, for which Victoria Magrath was in front of the Manchester store for hours to get hold of them for hours.
The ‘House of Vinted’ will be available online in England, Italy and France on March 25th at 6 p.m. – the home countries of the participating content creators. Part of the proceeds from the sale of the wardrobes are donated to the charity organization Oxfam.
