The German team starts furiously in the classic against Italy – and surprisingly gets support from a teenager.

It was the scene of a rousing game: Before the interim 2-0 for Germany in the classic against Italy (end result 3: 3, more read here), a clever ball boy helped. After a fast corner of DFB captain Joshua Kimmich, Jamal Musiala had hit-but in the center: 15-year-old Noel Urbaniak initiated the goal quickly, threw the ball at Kimmich in a flash, who then surprised the Italians who were still discussing together).

“Of all three, the ball boys with pure, plus Josh and Jamal, was the absolute world class. Very smart, incredibly smart, they do that very well,” said national coach Julian Nagelsmann about the scene at RTL. Kimmich also praised the teenager: the student “was very on a zack, which is not bad in such a game either, he did well”.

As a thank you, he received a game ball with Kimmich signature and a photo with the captain. DFB sports director Rudi Völler promised: “He gets a free ticket at the next home game.”

The secret hero of the evening itself said at RTL about the scene with Kimmich: “We had eye contact, I immediately thrown the ball to him, then the goal happened.” Curious about this: it was urbaniac’s debut. “I’ve never been a ball boy, that’s my first time, it feels very good.” First he sent his mother a voice message, on TV he greeted the coaches of his club in addition to the mom. Kimmich spoke to him: “He said: Thank you for giving him the template, so to speak.”
