We haven’t seen him for a while: Khalid Kasem. The former lawyer was bombed by BNNVARA and NPO 1 without any TV experience to the new Matthijs van Nieuwkerk, but all kinds of scandals soon put an end to it. In short, it comes down to Khalid not completely pure on the bone.
“It’s going well”
Khalid was spotted in public for the first time last July, namely on Leidseplein, but was really in front of a camera for the first time since the scandal, namely that of RTL Boulevard. “I am really doing very well. Of course it has been a very annoying episode,” said the former talk show host.
He continues: “I can’t say too much about it, I have tried to explain that more often, simply because my confidentiality prevents that, but it is going well. I am healthy, I am fit, I am positive in life. (…) I come from far and with perseverance and determination I have always been able to achieve everything in life.”
Cold clothes
Did Khalid go through a deep valley? “You don’t sit in the cold clothes when everyone is talking about you and all kinds of things are said, often they are not true. That doesn’t make it easy, but well, I don’t think about it for too long. I am stuck with all the positive in life and that is what I stand for.”
He continues: “I am not at all concerned with a future on television. I am just busy with all the things I would like to do. If that is in public, it will be in public, and if it is in privacy, then it will be in private. I am not so much busy with a TV career.”
Paddle tournament
Huh? But where are all the critical questions? RTL Boulevard presenter Vivienne van den Assem explains Renze: “He was at the Padelt tournament that was held for Nouri. In the past he was also a spokesperson for the family. It was actually not known that he would be there. Many other well -known Dutch people.”
She continues: “Our reporter who was there spotted him was actually given the opportunity to ask one question about that paddle tournament, but then he still gave some answers. It is the first time he was in public again for the first time.”
No criticism
Angela de Jong, who is also a guest in Renze, is disappointed. “There were still some questions open, I think, who were not asked.”

Mist machine Khalid just has to answer seriously once, says Angela. “I understand that an interview in that setting is difficult, isn’t it, and that not all the facts there are immediately ready with a reporter who is even sent to it.”
